Swim Team Competitive Development Squad

The Competitive Swimming Program is designed to improve technique and fitness through more intense training regimes.

What will I learn in this class?

Participants refine skills and develop sportsmanship and team spirit. Besides improving speed, strength, conditioning and mental preparation for races, swimmers also learn goal-setting skills and determination in a positive, fun environment.

What are the benefits of this class?
Our swimmers place well in local and international swim meets and a number of representatives and age-group champions compete at overseas invitational meets. This team is also a member of the Japanese Amateur Swimming Association and several of our swimmers compete at this highly competitive level.

Who will teach this class?
Head coach Simon Hadlow is an Australian level-one swim coach. Simon has taught children and adults of all levels for almost two decades. With more than 15 years’ experience under Australian junior team coach Lester Watkins, Simon has competed at Australian state and national levels. He also tried out for Australia’s Commonwealth Games and World Championship teams.
