Wines of the Month

With spring weather on the horizon, it’s time to start considering the right wines to enhance seasonal recipes and cherry-blossom hanami outings.

To help you toast Mother Nature’s revival, Masami Bailey of the Wine & Beverage Committee has selected three bottles from the shelves of The Cellar—including a sparkler, because you don’t need a special occasion or holiday to uncork the bubbly.

And if you purchase at least three bottles of any combination of her recommended trio, you’ll receive a 10 percent discount.

The wines are also available through the Club’s online Wine Shop.

  • 2020 Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs, North Coast, California
“A medium-bodied sparkler, made primarily from Pinot Noir. Schramsberg pioneered this style in the United States, and this vintage offers bright, stone fruit flavors, crisp acidity and minimal tannins. Enjoy with nutty cheeses, white fish and pork tenderloin.”
    ¥5,400

  • 2021 A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir, Oregon
“Another winning Pinot Noir from Oregon. With flavors of raspberry and cassis fruits, the wine’s gentle oak aging produces a delicious balance between the tannin, acid and fruit. Pairs well with anything from salmon to spring vegetables.
    ¥4,000
