Kawasaki Museums Tour

Journey to Kawasaki’s Ikuta Ryokuchi Park, where preserved folk houses, forest trails, and the bold works of Taro Okamoto offer a day of history, nature, and art.

Explore 25 traditional buildings at the Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum, including steep-roofed farmhouses from Gifu and merchant homes from Kanagawa, all nestled in wooded surroundings.

Pause for an optional lunch at the museum café, set in the quiet greenery of the park.

Continue uphill to the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, where the avant-garde artist’s vibrant sculptures and paintings are displayed alongside works by his parents, Kanoko and Ippei.
