Changes on the Way at Recreation Facilities
With an eye on creating welcoming and engaging spaces for families and younger Members, several recreation facilities are being renovated, with exciting changes coming up.
Fun Zone
At the Fun Zone (rendered here), the focus will be on social interaction and games like pool, air hockey and foosball. The space will also feature sofas and tables where families can gather for conversation and board games and teens can work on school projects and homework.
The Fun Zone will be closed from January 27 and reopen on February 10.
Childcare Center
The first-floor Childcare Center will see its entrance transformed into a kids’ room where ages 7 and under can play while being supervised by their parents. This new area replaces the second-floor kids’ room and will occupy a convenient location that is closer to family restaurants, the bowling alley and the Fun Zone.
The Childcare Center will be closed from January 27 and reopen on February 10.
Functional Fitness Room
On the second floor, across from the gymnasium, the existing kids' room and Teen Connection will be transformed into a new Functional Fitness Room. The space will be outfitted with equipment that includes two Connexus Crest machines, kettlebells, balance balls and medicine balls.
The spaces will be closed from February 10 and reopen as the Functional Fitness Room on February 17.
